DAY 21: PROPRIETOR'S PROJECT

What we all chose to do when creating this collaborative effort was to highlight those people that are proving creativity abounds during this time of change. We are not doing what we have always done so have had to refocus on old projects and make them new again.

See the example here: Proprietor Nick Inkster (above & below) has had to temporarily close his beloved OGB (voted 2019 Best Bar of the Year) and resides in his personal apartment bubble just above the stylish speakeasy.

Overlooking The Cathedral courtyard of The Heritage Hotel in Christchurch, Nick finds himself inspired to pick up old professional projects. The entrepreneur has built a  bespoke brand that includes the literary paper The OGB Regular a good ol’ fashioned newspaper featuring updates from today and poignant stories of old. Here he is reading it now. It's a clever concept with cool reads and speaks to readers during the lockdown who are seeking something different and discerning to inspire them with all of this extra time on their hands.

(The drink plus the decadent decor make for some pretty inspiring efforts as well.)
