This is a Pangolin. The most heavily trafficked mammal in the world that, before COVID-19, most people had never even heard of before. You are hearing about it a lot now. I was first introduced to this curious creature as a longtime Amnesty advocate & supporter when droves of enslaved children were being used to capture and kill them for their coveted scales which are heavily used in beauty products all over the world. We have gone too far. Beauty is not in they eye of the beholder here as our human greed has gotten us into trouble of pandemic proportions. Click here for more information.

DAY 10: COMMODITY CLEANUP
DAY 10: BEFORE AND AFTER
It is understatement to say we all have a bit more time on our hands. Except for essential workers, people around the world are getting those hands busy doing things that they don't normally do. Case and point is this photo where sustainable flooring company FORET is turning discards into design. Using recycled goods only, this innovative company is polishing products that will be used to create their latest line of reclaimed furniture using found materials like these railway ties. Company Directory Alan Stuck adopted the practice of sustainability in his brand before it was cool to be conservative in business. The companies Instagram page fully features designs and concepts that are all based on using recycled products to creative livable pieces of furniture and flooring. In their lockdown leisure they are staying busy creating what comes next for the company and advocating the need for companies to adopt their own ethos of sustainability and style.

DAY 9: GROCERY ALTERNATIVE: THE PONSONBY EXCHANGE
We are just off the phone with Auckland, and there is an awesome alternative to grocery shopping with the Ponsonby Exchange. We have been flooded with phone calls regarding the unavailability of traditional online shopping outlets and their lack of updating stocked goods during the high demand caused by the lockdown. Some people in need are looking at over a week delay in deliveries. This is not good enough and cries for an another outlet have been answered.
If you are lucky enough to be in the Auckland area and suffering from online delays or simply sheer fear of heading out, The Ponsonby Exchange is offering same-day, contactless grocery deliveries! If you live near Ponsonby or one of the neighbouring suburbs, check out the website here to order some supplies.
There is a range of fresh fruit & vegetables, meat, bread, cleaning products, personal hygiene, snack and flour to be bought.
DAY 9: STAY HOME VIA LARRY DAVID
Larry David of Seinfeld fame, is encouraging people to stay home. He, along with the Gov. of Cali are tired of people leaving the house for useless reasons.
